LaClarence Mays, and I am running to be your next Superintendent of Schools here in our beloved Jefferson County. I am a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and an alumnus of Jefferson County High School. I served in the classroom in School Administrative roles right here in Jefferson County Schools. I have a deep knowledge and work experience of finance, with time in State Government Finance and Administration, and I am currently the Chief Financial Officer for Gadsden County School District. I am also currently serving as the President of the Jefferson County School Athletic Booster Club.This is my home, and you are my family. We can fix our School while also working hand-in-hand to strengthen our economy here in Jefferson County, by creating education to jobs pipe lines in partnership with our City Council, County Commissioners, County elected officials, and our business community. Your Support will help to make this possible.I am the only candidate who has this level of experience and calls Jefferson County home, so I understand our needs and can relate to our students and economic needs.
